Is a Neon Beer Sign Right for You?
Ah, the neon beer sign. To some, the classic representation of all things manly. It’s beer, typically found in a bar, made of cool science-y materials, and women hate them. To others, however, it is an aging relic of past man cave decor. The question is, then, does it belong in YOUR man cave?
YOU SHOULD: Have decor items in your Man Cave that are personal to you and tell a story. If that neon beer sign invokes some memory of a glorious night that started in a downtown sports bar with the very same sign, then by all means light that baby up.
YOU SHOULD NOT: Overdo the use of the neon sign. All of that neon can be pretty rough on the eyes and your man cave should bring you to tears of joy, not pain.
YOU SHOULD: Pick a neon sign for your favorite beer, or one that also features your favorite team’s logo or something else that fits in your man cave, like a palm tree or poker chips.
YOU SHOULD NOT: Put neon signs in the window, unless your man cave is actually a real bar. There are a number of issues with doing this, including but not limited to: permitting issues with your local governing agency, being obnoxious to your neighbors, and the local bar flies knocking down your door trying to check out the newest watering hole.
