You can also look to pick up video games and other electronics in January, when retailers clearance their leftover holiday inventory.
Grills and Air Conditioners: The best time of year to buy something is often when it is least needed. Pick up your warm weather items like grills and air conditioners in January or February and save yourself the trouble come summer.
Home Gym and Workout Gear: There is a small bump in sales on workout gear around January but the big sales on these items come after most people have given up on their resolutions. May tends to spike the gym related gear sales, fueled by the approaching summer season. Don’t forget to check sites like ebay, craigslist, and garage sales for very heavily discounted gym equipment right about this time as well.
